Okay...even with our help this poor Scorpion on the right may be a wee bit too
tough to restore, but did you know when Lancia left the US in the 1980's we were given exclusive
permission to continue to reproduce and provide Lancia Service Manuals,
Wiring Diagrams and other Technical Literature necessary for
the proper service and operation of the Lancia Beta series of cars.
Below you will find the widest selection
available of accurate information for
your car... now those mysteries can be solved!
LANCIA ORIGINAL FACTORY SERVICE MANUALS
The following Factory Service Manuals, Technical Data
Manuals, Wiring Diagrams, etc. are
quality reprints of "the real thing" as provided by the Lancia factory to
their dealers and service departments when the cars were being sold as new. Our
manuals have comprehensive repair
instructions, hundreds of pictures and illustrations and complete repair
procedures for each model. Nearly three inches
thick and hundreds of pages, each has a wealth of information
that is available nowhere else!

tell you how to make a Scorpion or a Montecarlo out of them! Truly the "bible" for any repair, maintenance or
restoration on your classic Lancia. LIT28
NOTE:
Our reprint manual has
COLOR
pages right where the original manual did, our competitors only

SCORPION/MONTECARLO TECHNICAL DATA MANUAL
- Used in conjunction with the Shop Manual, this is over 160 pages of
numerical specifications, dimensional clearances, torque settings,
alignment information, carburetor jetting, etc. on every individual

service manual so this should be purchased along with the
Shop Manual. No question about it, this is essential
for all
service work! LIT 29

WEBER 32 DATRA SERVICE MANUAL
-
Is your Scorpion
running a bit "off"? Have a rough idle or hard starting? Lack of power or
poor gas mileage? These and other running problems are covered and
diagnosed in this manual. Written by Fiat North America when the cars were
still sold "new", it covers the description, operation, checks and adjustments
while rebuilding, checks and adjustments on the car and troubleshooting of
the of carburetors.
LAMINATED WEBER 32 DATRA INSTRUCTION SHEET
- Just doing a straight
forward carb rebuild on your Scorpion? Here's exactly what you
need! Our laminated 32 DATRA Instruction Sheet has a complete exploded
view, disassembly instructions, part identification, reassembly
instructions and float setting adjustments. Use it right at the car and
don't worry about it getting it soiled or bent as dirt and grease will
wipe right off and the rigid lamination will not bend.
FUEL INJECTION DIAGNOSIS MANUAL -
Scorpions never came with fuel injection,
but many owners have installed a Fiat or Lancia Beta based system or are
considering doing so. If this describes you, then this manual is a
necessity! Written by Fiat North American when the cars were
still sold "new", this describes the concept, workings and fault
diagnosis of the FI System in great detail. And the best part about this manual is that all you need
is a test light and volt-ohm meter to do virtually all the testing on every
individual fuel injection component! This is exactly the information you need to
diagnosis your car right in your own garage or driveway. The material in this
manual is not covered in any other manual, so if it's a specific fuel injection
problem you are dealing with, this is a "must have".
BOSCH L - JETRONIC FUEL INJECTION MANUAL
- Want to know more about the FI system on your Spider? This is the Bosch Factory publication which completely describes the
theory behind, fuel supply and metering, exhaust gas treatment, electrical circuitry
and testing techniques of the L-Jetronic system. Each component's
function is fully discussed, most with cut-away diagrams (an especially
nice one for the air flow meter). 31 pages
AIR CONDITIONER GUIDE
- If you have an
air conditioned Scorpion you need this! The A/C system in a Scorpion is
"laid-in" over the existing heating and ventilation system
creating a nightmare when you try to trace circuits, vacuum lines or
diagnose problems. This guide shows shows electrical schematics, vacuum
hose routing, airflow and vent routing, part guides and instructions unique to the
Scorpion. If you have any questions about your Scorpion's A/C system you
need this! LIT 32
SCORPION OWNER'S MANUAL
- Reprint of the original 1976 or 1977 Scorpion Owner's Manual as
provided with the car when new. The information here (including
operation, emission controls, lubricant capacities, control operation,
etc.) is available no where else. One of these belongs in every
Scorpion's glove box!
NOTE: Our reprint Owner's
Manuals are in "booklet" form, the same shape as the originals, not 8.5
x 11 inch copies available elsewhere.
-
Way back when, Lancia issued installation
instructions for removing the old top and installing a new one. Though
just a single page, this illustrated guide does document the procedure in detail. If you are
thinking of installing your own top these instructions are essential.
Use it right at the car and don't worry
about it getting it soiled or bent as dirt and grease will
wipe right off and the rigid lamination will not bend.
- Scorpions have been criticized over the years for various flaws
(either real or perceived) in the brake system. These instructions go
over the procedure
for fitting the 9.9" diameter brake rotors (vs. the stock 8.9") and caliper brackets from
the front wheel drive Beta cars to your
Scorpion. This increases the brake swept area by 11.5% providing improved
brake performance and control. Instructions, diagrams and full parts list. LIT 34

OWN A PIECE OF HISTORY! -
After FIAT ceased selling cars in the US
in 1982 they stayed several years to provide replacement parts here in the
US. In 1990 they sold off the parts business to Import Parts America (IPA)
out of Fremont, CA and left the US behind.
IPA made a nice attempt at doing some
marketing and one of the things they did was to provide a "community"
newsletter. In exchange for your address, year and model of car they would
send you a quarterly newsletter. This newsletter was a great idea, but
after three issues or so it folded.
What we have here is the original, initial
Volume 1, Issue 1 FIAT BRAVO NEWSLETTER from the Fall of 1990. This is NOT a copy or
reprint but the actual newsletter itself printed almost 20 years ago.
This is an incredible look at the FIAT scene
two decades ago and has articles on FIAT's history since 1899, "Affordable
Classic Cars", maintaining your convertible top, adjusting headlamps.
paint maintenance, a great technical Q & A, and pictures & descriptions of
various owner's cars: Scorpions, 124's, 850's and more.
This is the original, oversized 8 page
Newsletter Volume 1, Issue 1, dated Fall of 1990. Quantities are limited
so order it now.

OWN A PIECE OF HISTORY! (part 2) -
Even after Fiat and Lancia stopped
selling cars in 1982, they continued selling parts here in the US and
Canada. Every couple of months they
issued "Dealer Price Lists" to the former dealers and now coming on line
"Parts Distributors". As parts would come and go, naturally the size of
the book would change but most issues are about 120 pages and list each
and every part with factory part number, a description, dealer price and
retail price. These
books were not supposed to fall into the consumer's hands; the wealth
of information contained within is tremendous! These are ORIGINAL FIAT/LANCIA price books, not
copies or reprints so quantities are of course limited.
